Guard Rail

Single height, top mount W-beam guard rail for car parks, warehouses, loading docks and industrial sites. The system is rated to 30kN at 500mm (AS/NZS 1170.1 Part 3.8 Type F) and each post fixes down with just one M20 bolt. It is not a roadside (highway) barrier.

System performance

• Rated to 30kN at 500mm above ground (a 1500kg vehicle at 15km/h, 90° impact) — AS/NZS 1170.1 Part 3.8 Type F
• Hot-dip galvanised steel to AS 4680:2006
• 680mm system height · posts at 2000mm centres (max) · minimum 3 posts per run
• One M20 x 155mm through bolt per post — faster install than 4-bolt base plates
• Posts are designed to yield on impact to protect the slab · 101mm deflection

What you need for a complete run

• Base plate posts — 1 per 2m of run, plus 1
• W-beam rails — galvanised or safety yellow in 1m, 2m and 4m
• Splice bolts — 8 per rail joint
• Post bolts — 1 per post
• End treatment — bullnose end or rubber sock, 2 per run
• Corner connector — for internal or external corners
• Anchors — 1 x M20 x 155mm through bolt per post (not included, call us on 1300 291 700)

• 4m run: 3 posts · 1 x 4m rail · 3 post bolts
• 8m run: 5 posts · 2 x 4m rails · 5 post bolts · 8 splice bolts
• 12m run: 7 posts · 3 x 4m rails · 7 post bolts · 16 splice bolts
• 20m run: 11 posts · 5 x 4m rails · 11 post bolts · 32 splice bolts
