What is expansion joint foam used for?
Expansion joint foam is placed between concrete slabs or between a slab and a fixed structure to allow for thermal movement and reduce the risk of cracking. The Ableflex product in this range has an adhesive back to help hold it in place during the pour.

What size bar chair do I need?
Bar chair size depends on the required concrete cover over your reinforcement, which is set by the project's structural specification. Check your engineering drawings or specification for the correct cover height before selecting a bar chair and base combination.

What's builders plastic film used for on a concrete job?
Builders plastic film is commonly used as a vapour barrier under slabs or as general protective sheeting during construction. The 200UM film in this range is supplied in a 2m x 50m roll.

What gauge tie wire should I use?
Tie wire gauge should suit the diameter of the reinforcing bar or mesh being tied and your site's usual practice. The 1.57mm black tie wire in this collection is a common gauge for general reinforcement tying.
