Surface Mount Bollard - 140mm x 1500mm

140mm x 1500mm surface mount bollard. The tall version of our 140mm bollard. Bolts straight down onto existing concrete on a fully welded, pre-drilled base plate — no excavation, no core drilling, no waiting on a footing to cure.

Why 1500mm rather than 1200mm

Same 140mm post, 300mm more height. That extra height buys sightline: the bollard stays visible over a bonnet and through mirrors when a driver is reversing, and it reads as a boundary from further away across a large yard or carpark. Diameter is what carries an impact, so if the bollard is likely to be struck rather than just seen, the 140mm at either height performs the same — height is about being noticed before contact happens.

Installation

1. Stand the bollard in position and mark the four hole positions through the base plate.
2. Drill to the depth specified on your fixing pack.
3. Blow out the dust, reseat the bollard and insert the four fixings.
4. Tighten evenly. Re-check the fixings after the first few weeks of use.

Before you order

• This is an asset protection and access control bollard. It is not crash rated and is not tested to PAS 68 or IWA 14. For hostile vehicle mitigation, call us on 1300 291 700.
• The concrete needs to be sound and thick enough to hold a mechanical anchor. On asphalt use the asphalt fixings; on soft ground you'll need a concrete footing first.
• A taller post puts more leverage on the base fixings. Make sure the slab is in good condition where you are fixing.
