R U OK? Day: Checking In and Looking Out for Each Other
At eSafety Supplies, safety is at the heart of everything we do, but it’s not just about hard hats, high-vis vests, or equipment. True safety also means looking after the wellbeing of the people around us. That’s why R U OK? Day holds such an important place in our calendar each year.
What is R U OK? Day?
R U OK? Day is an Australian initiative dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and encouraging meaningful conversations. It reminds us that a simple question, “Are you OK?”, can have a powerful impact. By checking in with colleagues, friends, and loved ones, we can help others feel seen, supported, and less alone in whatever they’re facing.
This year’s theme continues to emphasise that we don’t need to be experts to make a difference, just good listeners who genuinely care.
Why We Celebrate at eSafety Supplies
At eSafety Supplies, our mission is to help create safer environments across Australia. While our products and services focus on physical safety, from workplace signage to PPE, we also recognise that mental and emotional safety are just as vital. A team that feels supported and valued is a team that works more safely, more effectively, and with greater care for one another.
That’s why on R U OK? Day, our team paused to connect over morning tea, a simple yet powerful act of togetherness. It was an opportunity to step away from our daily tasks, share stories, and remind each other that support is always close by.
Building a Culture of Care
The message behind R U OK? Day extends well beyond one day on the calendar. At eSafety, we strive to foster a workplace where open conversations and genuine care are part of everyday culture. Whether on the factory floor, in the warehouse, or in the office, every one of us can play a part in checking in and looking out for our mates.
By championing both physical safety and mental wellbeing, we’re reinforcing the same message we share with our customers, that safety is holistic, human, and ongoing.
Join the Conversation
Today and every day, let’s keep the conversation going. Ask someone how they’re doing. Listen without judgment. And if they’re not OK, help them find the support they need.
Together, we can create safer, kinder workplaces, one conversation at a time.
