Is the padlock included?

No. It takes a standard padlock through the base, so you can use one you already have or key it to an existing suite. We stock a 40mm long shackle padlock that suits it. If you would rather not manage a separate lock, the Key Lock version has the lock built in.

Yes, once it is folded flat — it sits 70mm off the ground when down. Always fold it before driving over it. Driving over it while upright will damage the unit.

Will it stop a car that ignores it?

No. This is a deterrent that reserves a space, not a security barrier. It is not crash rated and is not designed to be driven into or parked on. If you need a fixed barrier, look at our surface mount or inground bollards.

What fixings do I need?

Ground fixings are sold separately — add a concrete or asphalt pack on this page. Concrete fixings suit concrete, solid brick and stone; asphalt fixings are made for asphalt.

Can I put signage on it?

Yes. We stock vinyl stickers in Reverse, No Parking and Visitors, sized to suit. They make the reason for the reservation obvious and cut down on disputes.

What is the difference between this and the Slimline version?

The Slimline has a narrower profile for tighter bays and walkway edges. This standard model has a wider footprint and is the more common choice for a general parking bay.

Installation

Position the base at the head of the bay, clear of where a wheel will sit.
Mark the hole positions through the base plate.
Drill to the depth specified on your fixing pack, blow out the dust, reseat and fix down.
Raise the post, fit your padlock and check it holds upright.
