What is the Expansion Floor Plate/Cover made from?

Galvanised steel, 5mm thick, for durability and corrosion resistance.

Are fixings included?

No — the rubber underlay is included, but fixings are sold separately.

Does it replace waterproofing on the joint?

No. It protects the sealed joint from UV and physical damage but is not a waterproofing product — the joint underneath must already be properly sealed.

Can it be installed over an existing sealed joint?

Yes, it installs directly over the existing sealant without needing to disturb it.

Protect sealed expansion joints from UV, vehicle and foot traffic with this 5mm galvanised steel cover plate. The checker plate surface has smooth slots that allow uninhibited movement of the joint beneath, so the plate won't bind or rattle as the structure expands and contracts.

Where it's used

Multi-deck car parks, rooftop decks, ramps and driveways — anywhere a sealed expansion joint needs a durable, walkable, drivable surface over the top.

What you get

2400mm long x 297mm wide x 5mm thick galvanised steel plate
4.5mm fibre-reinforced rubber underlay included, to reduce noise and cushion the joint
Fixings sold separately

Installation

Installs directly over an existing sealed joint — no need to disturb the sealant underneath.

Before you order

This cover protects the joint from UV and physical damage — it is not a substitute for waterproofing. The joint below must already be correctly sealed.
