Choosing Your Unleashed Barrier
The Unleashed range is our exclusive, Australian-designed and manufactured line of heavy-duty warehouse protection — built from steel and finished in high-visibility safety yellow. This guide walks you through the two decisions that trip most buyers up, so you order the right product the first time.
Step 1: Are you protecting people, or protecting assets?
This is the key question. The Unleashed range has two separate barrier systems, and they do different jobs.
Protecting people → Unleashed Pedestrian Barrier
A full-height (1000mm) guard rail that separates foot traffic from forklifts and mobile plant — the physical segregation commonly required under WHS regulations. Choose this to define walkways, fence off exclusion zones, or create controlled gateways for people.
Start here: Unleashed Pedestrian Barrier Kit (1m–6m, ships ready to install).
Protecting assets → Unleashed Bump Rail
A low, bumper-height rail designed to take impact from forklifts and pallet jacks before it reaches your pallet racking, walls, machinery or columns. It's not for separating people — it's for shielding infrastructure along the floor.
Start here: Unleashed Bump Rail Kit (1m–6m).
Quick rule: if a person could trip or walk into the hazard, use the Pedestrian Barrier. If the risk is a vehicle clipping your racking or walls, use the Bump Rail.
Step 2: Kit or individual components?
Both barrier systems are fully modular. For a new run, always start with a Kit — select your length and it arrives as a complete, ready-to-install set of posts and rails with all hardware. There's nothing else to buy to get started.
Order individual components (posts, rails, gates, pins) only when you're extending an existing run or replacing a part damaged by impact. Because the system is part-replaceable, a forklift strike means swapping one rail or post — not the whole barrier.
Component pages: Corner Post, Middle Post, End Post, Rail, Gate and Fixing Pins.
Step 3: Choosing a Column Protector
Forklift strikes on structural columns are expensive — engineering assessments, downtime, repairs and WHS exposure. Our column protectors absorb that impact. There are three products, and the right one depends on where the column sits.
- Column Protector — Floor-Mounted (Free-Standing): for a column standing in open floor that needs protection on every exposed face. Available 350mm and 500mm.
- Column Protector — Wall-Mounted: for a column built into or hard against a wall, where only the exposed faces need guarding. Available 350mm and 500mm.
- Column Protector Mounting Bracket: not a protector — a steel wall bracket accessory that anchors a protective rail to a wall to complete a run.
