Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) can happen to anyone, anywhere. Immediate treatment is vital. A victim 's chance of survival dramatically decreases for every minute without treatment. That's why public access defibrillators are so important: they put lifesaving technology where it can do the most good. So when an emergency happens, you should have nothing less than the best.

What are the key components of a defibrillator system?:
A defibrillator system typically includes the device itself, consumables (pads, batteries), protective cases or cabinets, signage for visibility, and training equipment to ensure proper use. Each component plays a crucial role in ensuring the device is ready and accessible in emergencies.

How often should defibrillators and their accessories be maintained?:
Defibrillators and accessories should be inspected regularly, at least every 3-6 months, to check for any signs of wear, expired consumables, or damage. Batteries and pads should be replaced as per the manufacturer's guidelines to ensure the device is always functional.

Why is training important for using a defibrillator?:
Training ensures that individuals are familiar with how to operate a defibrillator effectively in an emergency. It builds confidence in using the device and improves response time, increasing the chances of saving a life during a cardiac arrest situation..
